That's not an honor. If they're gonna make a picture about it, give them the respect they deserve.

Them who?
Assuming you refer to the soldiers, this is not an image to honor them or their sacrifice.
This is an image representing only one thing.
To date, 1500 Americans have died fighting an illegal and immoral war of agression in Iraq!
I might have asked, "how many more"?
Or "who's next"
Or how about "Now serving #1501"
No, I didn't wish to trivalize or reduce the impact of the expression in the image.
To date 1500 American Soldiers, mostly very young, have died for a lie!
End of story!

I'm not blaming you at all... the artist's interpretation just strikes me as pretty unflattering.

I AM the creator of this graphic!
It's not sposed to be flattering!
In the weeks before we invaded Iraq I was saying to anyone who would listen....

There had better be WMD's in there. That threat of a mushroom cloud better be real! Our young men and women better not die just to satisfty a Bushco whim!!! |
Well guess how that turned out?
I do not wish to in any way flatter that statistic!
Indeed, it should be an impeachable crime!

There is nothing flattering about dying for a lie or a series of lies, nothing at all. It's a waste.
Who's the artist, Sky?

I meant towards the soldiers... I think we can all agree that the war is a reprehensible waste and deserves to be treated as such.

The art work I don't know.
I created this piece by putting it together and adding the text.
This is not intended to be a glorification of anything.
In this case, the deaths of our service men and women is nothing less than a waste of life.
Read my stuff. I fully support the troops. Both in country and back home!
More so back home when it's really needed!
This piece isn't about the the wonderful job our troops do in doing the job that is required.
This piece is about 1500 needless American deaths!
The war is illegal, immoral, and we are not safer!
1500 wasted deaths!
No glory or honor in that!
