Yup. Just in case anyone missed it: I'm an Obama precinct delegate and have been elected to the platform committee.

Well, each precinct gets a number of delegates based upon the number of votes each candidate gets. In our case, Obama got three or four (me being one), Hillary got two. Then we go to the next level (county) and serve as bodies in that count. Then we elect people out of that group to go to district. Then state. Then national. Somewhere in there it gets competitive to the point that I'll have to give speeches convincing people to send me to the next level. I have no problem with that. If you're watching CSPAN right now, you'll see what I was doing.
