It is a cold, boring day so i have been doing some trolling, pretending to be a republican, all of that good stuff. I believe my imitation of a republican is so scary that it will keep you up all night.

My guess, based on what I have seen, I guess that though sometimes he gets the evil eye for what he says, all too often he gets a resounding vote of approval.

Well it is pretty evenly split between liberals and conservatives but i would say more republicans approve of these messages. All you have to do is think of the most retarded things, apply them to the republicans, and then type them out. Bush is great, liberals want to kill you, that is all you need. The republican mindset is very black and white. We are good, everyone else is evil, use Jesus to justify your beliefs and you have a republican.

Hey, i have a soft spot for ron paul. I don't agree with everything he says but he speaks a lot of truth. Anyone who warns about the loss of our freedoms in this day and age has my attention.

I wouldn't go so far to say i am one of his supporters, since I think that the democrats have some better candidates, however, you could say i am a sympathetic to his cause. You may not like him but you have to agree he is genuine in his beliefs and is involved in some important battles.

Actually.....once upon a time I did though I didnt pretend to be a liberal. Mostly because I didnt know shit about them, what they really thought, ect...And I wasnt being critical, Jack...more tongue in cheek. Its the internet, you can be anything you want to be and not cause any damage. I have though gone on communist websites and wrecked havoc and mayhem to the point of being banned. I had a broken leg at the time and amusement was hard to come by.

An interesting thought occured to me.
I haven't really got a lot of free time, but for a while I trawled far and wide on the internet forums, just to try and get some kind of idea of what people REALLY thought, and over a broad spread of countries and cultures. I went through pretty much every extreme, even some I'd never have thought of (like Ron Paul supporters ....nah ! just kidding.. ) and was both aghast and relieved at what I found.
Relieved that most people are actually fairly normal, want more or less similar things, and are able to actually become open and communicative when they are not being attacked and maligned, real or imagined.
Most of the fairly small minority of screaming at the walls, laughing at the Moon and barking at the dog raving fruitloops actually hold tenuous grip on reality, and apart from the ones leading and influencing the USA, are a serious minority, and even here, I suspect most of them were Jack, playing around with gullible people. Bad, Jack, bad.

This then leaves me with only one concern.
What about the rest of the people who don't have access to the internet, and are fed news and views by the FUX News syndicates and media empires like Rupert Moloch's.....where do they get their reality tempered ?

Among conservatives Fox is the most popular, and trusted news source.

When you look at the demographics, it's not really surprising.
As I said, like seeks like.

Not all conservatives are lower intelligence, (or education) even though conservatives have a higher percentage of same.
Not all conservatives are religious fundamentalists, though again conservastives have a higher concentration of them.
Not all conservatives are poor, though the percentages are again there.
Not all conservatives are rural, though as before they have the percentages.


All of these things are exactly what Faux Knews panders to, so when they call it fair and balanced,
to their demographic it really is!


Unfortunately, as long as they're being pandered too, no one has any reason to educate, and no one has any desire to open their minds to other possibilities, and the political split in this country will continue to grow.
