Dear Member of the Nation Community,

As expected, Rupert Murdoch and other media moguls got that present from FCC chairman Kevin Martin, just in time for Christmas. He redrew cross-ownership rules. But as John Nichols wrote, "Martin's days as chairman are likely to be numbered. That's why he is rushing ahead with these rule changes. It is also why the efforts to delay and overturn his initiatives take on additional meaning." Here are two things you can do now to delay and overturn his initiative:

1. Congress has the power to throw out these rules, and if 100,000 people demand it, they'll have to listen. Sign an open letter to Congress members urging them to stop the FCC and stand with the public interest here: http://action.freepress.net/campaign/sbmopenletter
