Full Version: Do You Think Of Yourself As A "Democrat"?

I like to think of myself as an independent but i rarely vote for any party except the democrats, although i have voted for other parties, which to most people i would be considered one. Maybe a non-registered democrat?

karen
Things are a bit different here, but the Liberal Democrats (until recently, at least) are the party that more closely reflect my views than the others. - Voted Green in the last local election though, as the Lib Dem's seem to have entirely lost their way since ousting leader Charles Kennedy, I do wish the Greens would broaden their spectrum of policies though!

And, now, back to the US. biggrin.gif

Better question.....

Do you consider yourself a Liberal, and which political entity has the better potential to represent, or should be currently representing your values?

Global warming, huh?

You may be pleased to know that it is about 50 degrees here in Chicago. I'm not sure what that is in Celsius...maybe 235 degrees?

235 Celsius is about as hot as my fire. Not sure what 50 F(that's right, I can't spell it!) is, but I'm sure it's not that hot! eek.gif

Na it is pretty cool. It is about 10 degrees Celsius. However that is warmer than the average, which is below freezing for these parts at this time of year. And yes i do know Celsius, i am a man of science after all.

Yes. There are many chemistry and biology courses in my background, all of which are required for my major. My degree is called a "bachelor's in science" after all. I got the metric system down at this point.

Actually, global warming could very well plunge the UK into another ice age.

Edit to add: should that occur, Karen, we'll help you find a groovy place close by us here in LeMars.

What's that in Kelvin? How about Rankine?

Well, thank dog it's not a Bachelor of Arts. I can't imagine giving a BA to anyone whose language skills are so poor he doesn't even know that his degree is Bachelor of Science, not "bachelor's in science."

It's a nice day today. About 270 degrees.

I'd be willing to bet that today, BOSS POAC feels very much like a Democrat.
I'd also be willing to bet, that if TJ does well, we all will and we're already starting to feel it.

I am registered as an independant, so I cannot vote in primaries (blackballing bastards). I have voted for both parties over the years. And I have been disappointed each time. bawling.gif

I was caught in a real bad ice storm in Upstate NY a few years back. We lost power for three days. That picture you had looked real bad.
