I'd say, if someone is offended, you do need to protect yourself from the unreasonable.
But, the offended needs to wonder why they are offended!

Ooooooh, I like them....they have great impact. Sure, we'll all go a bit edgier, that's to be expected. It's effective and its time has come. Things have changed.
