For those who have no knowledge of about the thwarted 1934 Coup Against FDR this is a must read.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/2/27/112936/440

He has a series of links that you can do your own digging in if you choose. But he's done a really good job here of presenting the facts in this little known historical "footnote".

Few have heard of it for good reason. The world would have been a different place if the traitors had been brought to justice.

The American Heritage Dictionary (Houghton Mifflin Company, 1983) as "*fas-cism* (fash'iz'em) n. A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."

Mussolini, who helped create modern fascism, viewed liberal ideas as the enemy. "The Fascist conception of life," he wrote, "stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with the State. It is opposed to classical liberalism [which] denied the State in the name of the individual; Fascism reasserts the rights of the State as ex-
pressing the real essence of the individual."

Sound familialar eh? blink.gif

Nah...

We're all tinfoil hat coincidence theorists . wink.gif

Just ask a dimwitted freeper, they'll tell ya. tinfoilhat.gif

Remember, there is no vast right wing conspiracy. It's just a string of incredibly advantageous profitable convenient coincidences. If you articulate that openly you're marginalized at the least, you turn up falling out of the sky or dying under bizarre circumstances.

Case in point: Steve Kangas http://msnoh.tripod.com/kang.html

Check the date out on Zepp's Commentary. 7/09/01 Bushco was in the toilet, the regressives were not doing all that well. 9/11 was utterly convienient. Dipshit's now a "war prezdent".
