How many Americans of Polish/Lithuanian/German descent do think they're are named Seamus?

Hi Catherine,

Did I forget to tell everyone I'm a crotchety NY/Massachusetts Yankee?

And a rotton evil "librul" to the core?

BTW, Upper Midwest as in exile in the Midwest. biggrin.gif

Well now, Seamus, a fine name....a fellow Celt I assume...I never for one moment thought you were antisocial. We were blessed, (some might say cursed wink.gif ) with socially active genes and the gift of the gab.

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling
Ernest Ball, Geo Graff Jr, Chauncey Olcott

There's a tear in your eye and I'm wondering why
For it never should be there at all
With such power in your smile, sure a stone you'd beguile
So there's never a teardrop should fall
When your sweet lilting laughter's like some fairy song
And your eyes twinkle bright as can be
You should laugh all the while, and all other times smile
And now smile a smile for me

When Irish eyes are smiling, sure it's like a morning Spring
In the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing
When Irish hearts are happy, all the world seems bright and gay
And when Irish eyes are smiling, sure they steal your heart away

For your smile is a part of the love in your heart
And it makes even sunshine more bright
Like the linnet's sweet song, crooning all the day long
Comes your laughter so tender and light
For the spring-time of life is the sweetest of all
There is ne'er a real care or regret
And while spring-time is ours, throughout all of youth's hours
Let us smile each chance we get

When Irish eyes are smiling, sure it's like a morning Spring
In the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing
When Irish hearts are happy, all the world seems bright and gay
And when Irish eyes are smiling, sure they steal your heart away

I'm in So. CA. Nice to meet you.

The "rules" here are simple.....

Oh, and it helps if insanity runs in your family. wink.gif

I think you've come to the right place.
Lots of great links and some fine thinkers on board.

Some of us are beyond the hip wading phase.

Sadly Panda, I have no Celtic genes whatsoever. Northeastern European genes have I.

But I do have an affinity for all things Irish. Music, Merriment and what have you.

I'll have no problem with that, I'm pushing 50 and I have two young children. I get my insanity from them. laugh.gif

It's Gilman. Gilman Timezone.

The name speaks for itself. blink.gif
