This morning i was looking at schools i could possibly go to next year for graduate work in psychology. Guess which university popped up as having the degree I would want to go for and would be easier to get into than a community college (1/5 are accepted to their doctoral program in clinical psychology, my current school i about 1/14) ? You all know it and as much as you may hate it, you have to admit, it definitely....exists.

What Could It Be?

I would consider going just for the years and years of unbelievable, mind blowing stories that i would almost certainly have upon leaving.

It could be a profoundly raunchy and invigorating time. huh.gif
The frat house parties would be awesome ! "Stryper" played at respectable volume, so as not to disturb the prayer meeting going on upstairs, while guests mingled and drunk heady fruit-juice punch (imagine !! Orange juice mixed with PINEAPPLE juice ! Wow !)
Young couples singing along to "Greatest hit's of John Ashcroft" as they stroll hand-in-hand through the leafy groves, admiring God's work, before briskly heading back to the dorms after a chaste peck on the cheek, so as to be in before the curfew bell, ah, young hearts frolicking in the Center for Christian re-education and indoctrination ready to be the next generation of beatific, smiling relgious despots.....

Dude, it would calm your soul. wink.gif

Psychology, demanding an opening of the spirit to enable a better understanding of the closing in of the spirit. From institutions that are steadily removing themselves from the 21st Century and going as far back as the 6000 year-old Earth will allow them in time, to a nicer, more gentle time, without all those heathens and gays, without the evil Muslims, where Adam and Eve and Baby Jesus walked with the dinosaurs, as Noah got hard to work building his ark......

Yeah, I can just see this place would allow free-thinking and opening of the spirit, education and not indoctrinatination. Yeah, I can JUST see that.....

Oh !! A flying pig........... eek.gif

You asshole! I was reading this in a quiet school computer lab and laughed really loud for about a second and half. The people around me must think i am insane.

My favorite part of their program description is where it says they teach clinical psychology from the "Christian prospective". Funny how none of the psychology courses i have taken or text books i have read never mentioned a Christian prospective to psychology. I should raise this issue in one of my classes.

They must have bribed someone at the American Psychological Association in order to get their clinical psychology accreditation.

And in what way would they be wrong?

I have no doubt that Jesus U. has an exceptionally fine psych department.
