I agree.
Right now Gore is about as high up as he can be. He's "pure".
If he gets back into politics, that purity will suffer, and so will his environmental effectiveness.
Right now if Al Gore stood at the gate of some polluting coal fired electric plant, that would make huge news.
As a politician, he'd only be slightly more than a member of the crowd.
Even as President, in many ways his hands would be tied.
