Full Version: The Difference Between Reps and Dems
OLD American Century / White Rose Society message boards > Political Discussion forums > Politics In General

Well, it's nice to see that Sky was right all this time. It's been almost a year since the Democrats were swept into power and the changes have been dramatic. It's nice to see that Bush has had his war funding completely halted and it's only a matter of time till the impeachment hearings remove him and Cheney from office.

Even Cindy Sheehan stopped protesting now that things are in the capable hands of the Democrats. The date of withdrawal from Iraq is still to be announced, but the Dems surely have a precise date set and will soon announce it to the world. The difference between the two parties has never been greater as we can all attest.

I bow my head in shame to the great minds located here who truly knew that once the Dems were back in control of Congress, the Bushmania would immediately stop. Their swift action in bringing down the Bush regime has been nothing short of remarkable. The Patriot Act is now history, thank goodness. That was certainly an easy one for the Dems, but to see them act so swiftly on helping the poor and destitute in the Gulf states was truly a surprise. Providing teeth and support to the EPA was also very unexpected. With the removal of all the market leaders parading as council members for the FDA was also a godsend. Now we can get back to the issues that Clinton started with his wife and get a single-pay medical insurance policy for one and all and get those 45 million the relief they deserve.

The changes over the past 10 months have been nothing short of miraculous and I thank Sky and the rest here for pointing out from the beginning that we should expect such differences since, clearly, the distinction between Republican and Democrat is night and day.

For anyone who wants to know the truth, here's Aaron Russo's America, Freedom to Fascism

For sky and the others, please don't waste your time. There's obviously nothing in his work that interests you.

So he is a freeper for saying what you don't want said, that anyone who wasn't a brainwashed Democrat like yourself could plainly see was true? He has to be a freeper with the hidden goal of dividing the Democratic party, doesn't he? He can't be just another person with his eyes wide open who is beyond sick and tired of the Bullshit and states the obvious. Wave those poms-poms proudly Sky and defend your Democrats to the max. Its what you do and none of us here ever expect you to do anything different. Even if the Democrats became even more conservative and hypocritical and wishy-washy than they are now you will always be there for them. Are you giving your services away free? Really, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid ought to have you on the payroll as Democratic spin-meister.

I had history here.

When the owner of this forum decided to ask everyone to attack me, I decided it wasn't worth trying to give the truth to those who are too brainwashed to see it.

Just thought I would show a bit more of that truth. You won't watch it, sky, because you can't. It speaks about the truth and you are against that. At one time I thought that this forum was looking for the American ideals that our forefathers wanted for us, but I found that it is just another brainwashed discussion board looking to paint differences where none exist. If anyone goes against it, they are attacked by all here, as I was those many months ago.

Sorry, but I believe in the America of our founding fathers, not the neoliberalism that attacks anything different while steadfastly maintaining a ruse of dissimilarity that really doesn't exist. Boards that ask its members to avidly attack a poster are nothing more than naziesque bulletin boards that demand adherence to the status quo and condemnation to all who advocate free speech.

There's a lot more truth where that came from, but you'll never find it on this board.

Uh, you seem to have become a tad paranoid!
Though all things considered, I can understand why.

Right. You have an opinion and when others cut your opinion to tiny pieces because it's not very well thought out, the answer is to deny any responsibility and in fact, insist that YOU are the sane one and everybody else is fucked in the head!

Look teog it's not sky's fault
He believed like the rest of America that once the dems took office Bush's unconstitutional rampage would end. I knew it would be business as usual because as long as we are voting for politicians that THEY put in power their plan will not change. Think about it they impeached Clinton for lying under oath when the should have went after him for a whole host of other things. Who really cares whether he lied about having sex with someone? I'd be more concerned that his biggest donor was taking OUR defense technology ot the back door. Or the atrocities that were committed at Waco. With Bush it's far more serious. The point is that our political system is a sham.

WRONG! I never said it would end! That's plain horse shit!
I said things would BEGIN to change! Gawd you conservative framers just never quit!

Who is they and don't the people called the electorate have any responsibility?
(Conspiracy is everywhere!)

The political system is working as intended, even if at the moment you don't like what it has produced!
Because the political system is working, it will change. But it won't change in a few weeks, and it might not change to somethihng you like or agree with. Especially since everything seems to be colored by your conspiracies!

LOL sky sky sky
calm down skippy the storm will pass
Check it out dude:
You may not have said it would end but you put a whole lot of hope in the democratic party. If you'd get your head out of your ass you'd realize I was on your side in that post.
As far as the conservative comment: I have neither said I was conservative or liberal, you are basing this comment on the assumption that because I have slammed democrats and I support Ron Paul that I am conservative. Again if your head wasn't in your ass then you would understand that there are more important things at stake than whether your a dem or rep.

Money Talks sky. The electorate is only as legitimate as the money behind them. Money rules America and money influences people in prominent positions. There is no conspiracy. This is FACT!!! Why do you think the biggest propagated issue in this election is how much the candidates raised? It's not about what they stand for it's about the money!!! And THEY are the ones who fill the coffers of the political system. THEY are the ones who own economies rather than the stocks that are traded. THEY are the ones who create the money. THEY are the ones who loan the money to the US. THEY are the REAL power in America.

The political system is working? Do I really have to go down the list of why it isn't. C'mon, Al Gore won the election in 2000 everybody knows this. BUT, obviously THEY didn't want him to be president.
