I happened to catch an ad on TV today by Freedom's Watch.org. In the ad, the mother of one of the troops fighting in Iraq tells us it would be wrong to pull troops out of Iraq now at a critical juncture when progress is being made. At the end, with tears in her eyes, she tells us that we can't pull out now and allow another 9/11 to happen.

I slapped my head and immediately accessed the Freedom's Watch web site to tell them they should not be perpetuating lies on TV. It boggles the mind that so many people will continue to cling to the idea that the war in Iraq has anything to do with terrorism.

Is this issue what prompted you to join the forum?

Actually, I joined awhile back because of my frustration over the direction our country has taken, what with Bush seemingly driving us down the road toward fascism and all. I don't have the opportunity to visit much because they block the site where I work. I get the daily emails, though, so I stay up to date on what's going on.
