The daily show last night may very well have been the best I've ever seen. Re-runs are on today, check your listings and
watch it!there were just too many brilliant pieces last night to post them all, so go

edit to add: I keep trying to fix the link, but its not working. just go to www.dailyshow.com. and click on recent videos - its worth the effort.

The "America to the Rescue" segment was great. Obama's interview was a yawner, except for some material Stewart introduced. Last week's interview with Biden was better.

you're right, but I thought the lead in was great. he started off with what most "late nite" talk show hosts would have, lauding the "charisma' he carried, but went ahaead and negated that to what most americans want, and that's change in the status quo. while i didn't see what I would have liked, calling him on his hawkish responses, i saw jon calling for a change, while not necessarily endorsing obmama. he basically bashed clinton, and the others in the senate that are playing the game of politics, while joking about the "halialujah obama" tack some have taken.
he bashed the idolitry crowd, while giving weight to those that questioned the ethical concerns of those that appreciate goober - natorial ethics that dieify the electorate's voice. there was no "Colbert Bump" here.
jon stewart gave his viewers what they deserved, and the 'you rock, barack!" line shouted by the audience at the beginning, recieved hushed questioning at the end. the need for a new angle was endorsed, and obama gave his perspective, but at the end of it all, there was hushed silence, in spite of the cues from the producer and his lite-bright "applause" sign.
watch it again.
