Full Version: Your Alcohol Of Choice?
OLD American Century / White Rose Society message boards > General > The Watercooler
Jack
Here is something we talk to little about but i know we are all interested in. What is your alcohol of choice?

I'll kick this thread off by saying that my choice has gone from vodka at first (which i don't touch any more), to whisky (which i still love), to cheap beer, to more expensive beer. I'm a college student, what do you expect? Right now, i am all about Sam Adams Summer Wheat Beer. If you get that stuff nice and cold, it is better than sex (not really). Too bad it is seasonal but i am looking foward to trying October Feast again. I tried it when i was 18 but it may have been a bit beyond me then. Here to the future.

If the spelling in this message sucks, it is because i didn't feel like running it through a spell checker. I am a product of the Reagan educational system.

Just about anything in small amounts except Gin.

Generally I drink rum and coke, because I like rum, and it's usually a well drink.

I don't drink much, though clearly I have no issue with drinking, as long as it's not a major pillar of your lifestyle.

It is. I still haven't finished my last bottle, and I've had it a year and a half.

That looks like something to have for the special moments, and not for gettin drunk.
BTW, I've long considered getting drunk to be a waste of good spirits.

Pilsener type beer, mostly US but I buy Heineken and Corona when they're on sale. Aguila is awesome if you're ever in Colombia. Of course Stella if you're in Belgium, or even if you're not.

The Sam Adams "Summer" flavors are the only Sam Adams light enough for me.

Occasionally I'll mix some vodka and juice. Skyy is great, and if you ever pass through Iceland, get a liter of Icy at the airport.

Then there's "green dragon"...

is that that good ol' majik dragon? or did you mean its new friend the green fairy?
if the former, have you ever met my favorite mary? her nickname is "pearl"

on the vodka note, if you haven't tried svedka, you're in for a treat.

as far as beers go, those who care might want to look into "butte creek organic brewery. - Chico CA." (of sierra nevada fame) They have a wide spectrum of colors and flavors, but the liquilcious maltyness of their porter is one of the finest bottled brews I've had the pleasure of consuming... outside of the Belgian tradition, that is. Anything with a burgundian twinge gets my fire going almost instantaniously. This might have something to do with the fact that my first alcoholic beverage was a raspberry lambic during the omegang festival in Brussels when I was eight.

Yes, I meant the puff-less majik dragon. Cannabis, grain alcohol, blender, coffee filter... then ice and Sprite. I haven't tried absinthe, and I don't know Pearl.

Just because of my online name, I tried a bottle of Spudka "America's first potato vodka". I think we're still lagging behind the Russians in that area. I'll keep an eye out for Svedka.
