CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

is this your first?
MasterMind
Nope, it will be my third.

I have a son named Justice who is six and a daughter named Faith who is two.

I have already delayed my ship date enough cause of my wifes broken arm, so I am not sure what this will do.

Write to bush and tell him that if you can't postpone your date yer gonna get an abortion! (just a bluff - I'm not serious about following through with it!)

You've got a gift for naming your children!

That's great news ! All the best to both your families for a trouble-free spawning ! biggrin.gif

I just hope there will be a planet left to pass on to them after the Cheney Gang have finished playing "The Four Horsemen of the Idiotaclypse".... huh.gif

Mastermind, you be extra safe over there. Keep your head down and come back, y'hear ?!

My 20 mo. old Dara coos her wishes of good fortune, and hopes that you can father your new one until such time as they can meet! (she's waving at you now!)

We have a girls name ready (Serenity Agustina/Augustina...not sure on spelling yet), but still working on the boys. Maybe Moroni for the middle name but still looking for a first name. Justice's middle name is Xavier and Faith's is Alexandria. So we want something along those lines. I admit I actually kinda like picking out names.

What about you Spud?
Rousseau
I'd be a bit careful about using "Moroni" as a middle name. He may be misinterpreted for a republican by someone who isn't clued up about names and the depth of culture that goes behind them, and doesn't pronounce the "i".....
MasterMind
Ewww. I didn't see that. That is a good point.

But we did come up with a first name, sorta. We are throwing Lucius around right now.

First name "Jessica" middle name "Rabbit"...

Just kidding. We haven't settled on a name yet. My wife wants to name her after a comet that we won't be seeing again until 2061. I said that's OK for a middle name, and I liked my mother-in-law's suggestion for a first name. We still have a couple of months to fight about it before the scheduled delivery.

Good on both of you. Only job in life I have had and always loved, always enjoyed, never regretted was under the title of "Daddy".
POAC
Congratulations you guys! That's awesome.

Complications -- with 2 months to go, my wife has placenta praevia. We have good health insurance, but now we're facing 2 months of either hospital stay or at-home bedrest for her, and I have to figure out how to work and take care of the kids at the same time. Today I'm trying telecommuting. So far it's working great (because the kids are asleep).

Sorry to hear that Spud. I Hope all goes well.
Looks like you've got your work cut out for the next couple of months! Are there any family members who can help maybe?

Thanks, Karen. Things are actually looking better now. Her own ob/gyn finally saw her in the hospital and said she didn't need bedrest as long as she didn't do anything stressful. I guess the hospital staff doctors were erring on the conservative side. Anyway, she's home now and reading to the kids which leaves me free to work.

I called my mom last night and asked if she could come and help out. She said she's having medical problems of her own and couldn't handle it. But then she came up with a backup plan (I'm guessing here) to pay my sister's rent and send her here, while my dad takes care of my sister's pets and yadda yadda. Anyway my wife answered the phone when my sister called with this offer and told her it wasn't necessary. I probably should have waited a day before asking.

Good news Spud. Bet that's a relief! thumbup.gif
Glad everythings OK, but be sure and let me know how things go from now on. - I'll only worry if you don't!
And don't let your wife do too much - lots of cups of tea are what she needs now! wink.gif

More good news -- everything came out OK, we have our third daughter! My wife is in the hospital recovering, and I'm doing full-time toddler care, which doesn't leave much time for following the boards. I apologize if I missed any important posts.

My wife signed me up to fill in for the "music" part of her teaching gig, which means I'm technically doing my first professional guitar playing, after 26 years of self-education. Twice a week for 30 minutes, and her pay is $12/hour, so I guess I'm earning $6 per session.

How's everything going on your end, MM?
seuss
congrats! now all you have to do is hollow out the cigars, fill them with whatever you happen to have lying around, and hand them out.
Rousseau
Good news is such a pleasant change in this day and age !
I'm so very happy for you, Mr and Mrs Spud, and the growing Spud tribe !

The "pop !" you hear is Champagne ! clap.gif clap.gif

Live long and prosper. biggrin.gif
