How does it know all about my computers definitions?????? And can you see them too?

No I can't see that info, because it's not from my site. I could put up a similar thing at my own site if I wanted and log all that info about everybody who views the image. Then some hoser would probably steal it and use it in his sig on another forum (which is what I did), and my log would be full of random info from all over the Internet.



I'll probably change the sig soon. I have included it above for the record.

I went to danasoft after starting this thread and saw the set up. Decided two on one forum would be overkill!

IP trackers are common.

TJ and the Mods can see all of IP's, and the pertenant information.
It's like, even if you have an unlisted phone number, it;s listed somewhere, and as such it can be found.

I have an IP tracker on my Myspace page.

I know Sky. I have trakers in my forum to (no, really, I do!). But spuds thing is different in that I'm not using Spuds website, I'm just reading his post in an open forum and yet his gismo is sitting there showing me my IP, ISP, etc, and showing you yours.
How does it know all that stuff just by me looking at it!

Gotta admit, that is kinda creepy.

It's probably quite simple. (To do with the linkage and such. ) If I'm looking at it on my machine then the thing must have some sort of linkage to my IP. Very easy when ya think about it!

Nice little reminder that privacy is an illusion, as long as you participate in society.
