I had the best dream last night!
I dreamed that approximately 50% of all Americans spontaneously decided to get out of their cars and walk to work. There was no organisation or coordination, they just decided it was best to walk... All of them, all of a sudden!
In my dream this sudden and spontaneous mass movement was being reported all over the news here. They were showing footage of people just getting out of their cars and walking... just like that! cool.gif

Ever hear about the Global Consciousness Experiment? (No link, sorry, but there I believe there's a wiki about it.) Basically they're demonstrating (or have demonstrated?) that global consciousness (or mass group consciousness) does exist.
With so many of us now aware of the impact we're having on the planets ability to sustain life (except for raoches, and they don't count!) what's to stop half a nation of people suddenly realising they can change all that by parking their cars? cool.gif

It could happen! Really it could! clap.gif biggrin.gif
Do I take my optimism too far? .... Nah! wink.gif

sky of mind
I think, because work is over 10 miles away, and there is no bus available out here,
I think I'll ride my little scooter to work today and leave the pick up home.

By the way.
I've owned the bike for almost 2 weeks now. Already I have saved about $50 on gasoline,
and I been doing a lot of riding around on the sweet motor scooter.

Did you know that $50 worth of petrol (OK, Gas!) is equivalent to about a million tons of CO2 emissions? thumbup.gif
Of course these figures are based on the ones I just this minute made up in my head, but I think you'll find that's proof enough that the Sky is that much bluer today! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yeah, and my wallet is a lot greener too!

Funny how that works out eh?
Money saved on gas is more than enough to cover the bikes entire operating expenses, including the loan.

I biked to and from work today (it stopped raining) I don't understand how our countries got such an obesity problem - exercise is so much fun!

I love my bike. You're right it is so much fun.
I live right next to a park and cycling round there at top speed on my way to my mum's, on the other side, always puts a grin on my face from ear to ear. - Yes, people do look at me like I'm nuts, but I'm used to that! biggrin.gif wink.gif
