My newest purchase. a 1985 Honda Aspencade.

Scenic on the first hot day of the season.

Looking SW, way off in the distance, 'bout center image is a wisp of paper mill smoke. That's my home town.

And looking SE, there's Mt Hood looking grand and impressive as always.

Tanks Boss!

I been a good boy for a very, very long time. And though the bike has a few good and practical reasons,
it's also a whole lotta fun! Yeah, I don't even much mind the killer sunburn I got. Not much. blink.gif

I think it must be something to do with being open and exposed, wind in your face and bugs in your teeth, that feeling of skill with the balancing, the rush of speed (even on a bicycle, downhill can be SSOOO much fun...) and the fact that voyaging on two-wheels really brings home the value of this beautiful planet and the liberty neccessary to fully enjoy it. You also appreciate technological advances like leak-proof rainsuits....

My hero, Le Ché, had his eyes fully opened on two wheels. So much more intimacy with strangers than huddled in a Hummer, or skulking in an SUV.... tongue.gif
