shoeless
A statement Bush made in his press conference yesterday sounded sickeningly familiar. Remember this?

I couldn't help but think of Bush's dear mommy when he said this:

QUOTE
Q: Do you believe it's a civil war, sir?

BUSH: I can only tell me what people on the ground whose judgment — it's hard for me, you know, living in this beautiful White House, to give you a first-hand assessment
.

Then, in the same breath, Bush went on to tell this outrageous LIE:

THE LIE?

QUOTE
I haven't been there [Iraq]. You have. I haven't.- George W. Bush Press Conference Feb. 14, 2007

Whaaaaa!?!?!

THE TRUTH?

Link: President Bush Meets with Troops in Iraq on Thanksgiving

Did Bush go to Iraq on Thanksgiving 2003 to deliver a plastic turkey to the troops, or didn't he? Is he lying now, or was his supposed trip to Iraq an elaboate hoax?

sky of mind
Hard to imagine it was a hoax, simply because there are way too many witnesses.
Each pair of eyes in those pictures makes it that much more difficult to be a deception.

Other than that, it's quite amazing how this human being can openly display a deliberate ability to hear only what is wanted.
By now as Emperor I'm sure he's been told that the people are well aware that he has no clothes on, and yet he still continues on as if it's not even cold out side.

Maybe he has a memory of a Goldfish. Y'know, 10 seconds, and it's "Oh, look, a shipwreck and a bubbling diver, never seen that before.."

He's a moron. What would you think he would say? Or maybe that was his "stunt double" in Iraq and not him. Who the fuck knows. All I know is the man totally disgusts me and the fact that he is the President of the United States is a disgrace to this country. Every time I see his smirk I just want to turn off the TV in anger. I will be SO GLAD when this guy is gone and fading into obscurity.

I'd be inclined to give Bush a pass on this one. For the purpose of answering the civil war question, he had not seen real Iraq, only a tiny, tiny, secured part of it where there was no fighting at all. And that was 3 years ago, before the civil war really got going.

Wavelength? I though the goldfish bit was from Seinfeld.

Wavelength is a Van Morrison song, and the goldfish comment concerning the castle, I'm not sure where that's from. Thought it was another song.

The goldfish effect would certainly explain a lot about Bushie.

Yes, I agree that Bush has the attention span of a gnat in heat. However, our good friend Catherine pointed out to me that the "plastic turkey delivery" was not the only trip Bush claims to have made to Iraq.

I had forgotten about this one as well. Here is her post in response on TVNewsLies:

AMAZING, shoeless...AND Bush has supposedly been to Iraq since the supposed Thanksgiving trip in 2003:

Bush visit to Iraq cloaked in extreme secrecy; only key aides, Laura knew

BAGHDAD, Iraq - President Bush traveled to Iraq under exceptional security and secrecy — even for a president who is pressing a war on terrorism.

Without notice, he left Camp David, Md., Monday night in a helicopter — not the distinctive green and white one he usually uses — and flew to Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington. He boarded Air Force One from the back rather than the front, wearing a ball cap, slacks and a shirt with no tie.
