Some of us just moderate, mostly assist when we can....no biggie.
We just TRY to keep nasty people from being TOO mean...
...and pass on information to the real administrators.
PM anytime you need anything.
I tend to give the benefit of the doubt when perhaps I shouldn't.
Some might see that as soft.....I see it as being a human being.
When I get pissed, I get REALLY pissed.

I am just a Liberal Progressive who wishes things weren't the way they are. I'm an activist, as are many here. I live in CA. I've met many people from forums and most are exactly who they say they are. I've been on forums for a few years and my general disgust started up again during the late 90s. The 2000 theft pushed me out into activism with a vengeance again.

I'm old enough to have protested Vietnam while I was in H.S. I know guys who didn't come back.....or came back fucked up. I went to college with some of them. It was a really hard time for all of them to come back to the U.S. after what they had witnessed in Vietnam. I fear the same now for our troops in Iraq....both from Dubya's and Poppy's wars.

I was for Dean. I worked for him, voted for him in the CA primary despite Iowa.....I voted for Kerry/Edwards in the General Election.
I'm pissed off and depressed at the same time. But I'll NEVER give up the fight for justice for ALL and saving our Constitution. Aren't I boring? Sorry you asked?



I'm thrilled that POAC exists.....a font of information all in one spot.
I learn a hell of a lot from the other posters here. A clever bunch.

We've been hacked a couple of times so we're a tad wary. Understandably so.

Not true, Tamara's opinions are highly respected around here.
And correctly so! She's been here since the beginning.
But, um, you've missed a few others.......they'll let you know who they are......I can think of several right now. Astute and enlightened posters.
You'll know them when you see them.

The lies we have to endure daily are almost enough to drive us insane but we manage to keep it in perspective because we actually read books and have a greater understanding of history. This won't last. If the neocons don't get us all blown up there's still hope.


Plus, if we can't have some fun, then what the fuck's the point?

I'd say this was a big biggie! Making guests feel welcome is how this group will grow! No one wants to hang where they feel uncomfortable.

I'd call this tollerance, First characteristic of a Liberal. One of those "dance even though everyone is looking" kind of things.

Ronnie. Yes, I understand y'all are busy. Gradually I have learned some small snippets about POAC. It seems to keep some of you quite occupied. I have enjoyed POAC as a news source for almost a year now. The closer we got the the elections, the more I have been drawn into this political arena. Like Panda I was in High School during the Nixon years. I recall the politics of Tricky Dick and what has me simply blown away is how the dirty tricks of today make Dick look like a Girl Scout with a tape recorder! Tricky had a few things he did that were real bad. The secret bombing on Laos, the secret war in Cambodia, the Plumbers, and a few others. Dubya though, my gawd. This administration is corrupt from the top down. It's a corruption that feeds corruption. OK. Don't get me started!
