Telling the story
In 2000 and 2004, problems plagued the polls in different parts of the country: long lines, eligible voters turned away, voter intimidation, misallocation and malfunctioning of voting equipment. They were underreported on Election Day. Days and weeks later, a more complete picture of voter disenfranchisement emerged—but it was too late. The elections were over and the media had moved on. Starting this election, citizen journalists—people like you and I—will document problems as they occur. We'll play them online, spread word through blogs and partner websites, doing our part to make sure the full story of our elections is told.

Natural.

Being an old hippy that lives in a rather back water section of the road less traveled, you might not know just how popular and common is the cell phone that does both still images and short movies. I rather expect any obvious issues will be widely recorded.

Out here in the world where I live they're everywhere. Schools are banning them. I was reciently at a funeral and people were receiving calls and talking on their god damned phones! I really do hope state legislature makes it illegal to talk and drive very soon.

Speaking of cell phone camera's. Isn't it interesting the the number of UFO sightings dropped to near zero as these things came around and got popular?

You're so right, Sky.. I'm guess the Martians have found the people on earth now have the little things stuck in their ear that will record images. So, they have now made their space craft invisible to be detected
Gadzooks!
You might know that here in California, it is a violation of state law to bring cell phones into a polling place. Law was enacted shortly after the addition of cameras to cell phones. And while it may be technically legal to shoot video inside a polling place here, the videographer may not shoot ballots, either being filled or completed, and must have a written and signed release from everyone who is filmed.

People have totally lost touch with decency regarding cell phones! aaaaaarrrrrrgh!
