additional notes

Zombies are made from chicken wire and aerosol foam insulation. Total cost about 10-15 bucks each. Painted with leftover house paints, stains, whatever I had in the garage.
Lighting adds a lot more drama to the scene, but it's too dark for pics.

Thanks. Even though he helped me make wicked wanda, he won't go near it after the sun starts to set. =-)
Celticrebel
Holy Crap!!! What do you have in Iowa 48 hour days? Your'e squeezing alot in for the board and still have time to do that? Very Impressive.....You should think about selling those things cool.gif you may make a good $
Max-1
Excellent work this year. I'll have to remember that insulation foam idea.

LOL

Yes, the imagination gets the best of them, NO?

Abell9
Handsome boy you have, Board Boss Dude. So thats what houses in IOWA look like.
POAC
Celticrebel, I don't have squat for free time. I've been working on those since the beginning of summer. A few hours a week. smile.gif

Max-1, that's the funny thing. He'll get up and mess with it when the sun is up, but once the skull is turned on and it starts to get dark, he won't even look at it, let alone get close to it.

Abell9 That's not my boy. We're not having kids. And yes, that's what the houses here look like. Lot's of victorians and farm houses.

Captain America
Damn! You trying to keep any trick or treaters from coming to your door?

Do you remember, when you were a kid and some guy would sit on his porch and you though he was just a big dummy of some kind and then all the sudden he jumps at you? I hated that.....
odanny
Cool pics. Nice decorations, I especially like the witch.

I almost became that guy this year. Then I thought better of it. I'm already going to traumatize kids just by making them come to the door.

odanny, thanks! I'll try to get some evening shots tonight.

I grew up, spent 19 years in a house very similer.
12 foot ceilings, arch doorways, glass or brass door knobs, windows with huge iron counter weights in the walls, when I was very young, the push button light switches were replaced when the house was rewired and grounded. Also when I was young, my mom got tired of the cold hardwood floors and covered every inch with green shag carpets, complete with leaf rake.

We don't have the high ceilings, or arched doorways. our doorways do all have the big thick wood trim, though. Did you have one of these totally cool manual door bells?

How cool is that? We aren't lucky enough to own this house, we just rent. But it's got some really cool qualities that balance out the drawbacks (like the creepy dirt basement)

I'm gonna be in trouble, but I don't care. I was supposed to buy new shoes...

IPB Image

But I bought toys instead...

Like a plastic skull that covered in foam insulation and acrylic paint, looks pretty gruesome...

IPB Image

and and axe and skeleton, to assassinate my pumpkin...

IPB Image

and finally, a fake flaming cauldron and plastic skull, which when disassembled and re-invented into a flaming skull on a stick, looks pretty freakin sweet.

IPB Image

That's all for now.

Only days left to November, and more scary stuff might be added to the menu for consideration before then.

Oh, and by the way?

I've already voted. Did so Monday evening!

Oh, i get it. We found out that absentee votes in Iowa are NOT entered into an e-voting machine, as I had thought. So we'll be picking up our ballots tomorrow.

Yeah, except TJ's scary critters really are fake!
The Haunted White House is all to real. Ghosts from the 60's walk the hallways.
