What an esteemed and upstanding group the United States belongs to in practicing capital punishment. We are joined by countries with wonderful human rights' records, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Sudan, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Notice by contrast that every European country (and even Turkey), with the exception of Belarus, has abolished the practice, as has Canada, Australia, Mexico, and most Central and South American countries. Even Russia and Israel have all but outlawed capital punishment as part of their justice codes (although one wonders what indiscriminate bombings fall under).
This is just a reminder to everyone that the death penalty still enjoys majority support as well as bipartisan support in most areas of the United States, and for some reason it is the Western country that considers it a just practice.
Why does it seem to be ONLY in America that millions of people:
A) still support the barbaric practice of executing criminals,
C) are not in favor of universal health care?
Is America just weird?
