I would feel much better, Jack, if even I knew where the Democrats stand on all the major issues. I follow the news closely, and I don't have a clue. How much less does the common person who does not follow the news know what the Democrats stand for and how they are different from the Republicans? IMO, this is a huge strategic mistake on the part of the Democratic Party leadership, and one that will be temper any gains made from current public disgust with the Republican party. I cannot respect the Democrats unless they stand up and tell me where they stand on the issues. They will not do that for political reasons.

This is similiar to a defendent in a trial who will not take the stand for fear that his words will be used against him by the prosecution. Either way he takes a risk. But who does the jury respect more when coming to their decision of Guilt or Innocense? This has close parallels to what is happening here, if you think about it.

Roll the dice, Democrats, and hope you win without taking a stand. Even if you win, I won't respect you. But I will appreciate you as a roadblock to what the Republicans want to do.

You might want to try reading the party platform, and going to the websites of some of the party leaders and the Democrats running in your local elections.

Yes, a common republican bullshit republican talking point. Its because the dems can't yell louder than the idiots who are on the news every night. Of course meaning that the media focuses on the thoughts of the extreme right wing psychos and rarely let our side say a damn thing.

The dem's position will almost always be the common sense approach to a problem.

Do I have to go researching to read "in the fine print" where the Democrats stand on the issues? They need to tell people, boldly and without reservation, where they stand on the issues. Right or wrong, the Republicans state where they stand on the issues (or at least get their spin out), but its strange I don't hear much at all from the Democrats on where they stand, except when they are criticizing and ridiculing the Republicans. Its a mistake.

And Jack, I disagree with you that their message is drowned out by the Republicans. They are not even trying to get a message out, other than that they don't like what Republicans are doing and the way Republicans are doing things. What they are doing is sitting back, quiet, hoping America will turn to them out of total disgust with the Republicans. That seems to be the strategy. In my mind, I get the picture of a calculating snake, waiting to take power, who thinks saying nothing at all is better than saying something to give your opponent ammunition to use against you. From a purely political POV, maybe that is somehow a smart policy, but I cannot respect it. Better to state where you stand on the issues and let the cards fall where they may.

And who owns or has the control over the electronic voting machines

Democrats 0%

Republicans 100%

And yes I know Venusula owns Sierra now but who owned them before

Just something to think about...

I know where the Republicans stand on the issues without having to go looking on web sites to find out. I want the same from the Democrats, but I don't get it. And why do you think that is? It is their strategy for winning, or so they think. It might just be their strategy for losing.

You seem to be another true Believer Democrat, birdman. You and "Sky of Mind" will become good friends. But understand that not everyone here holds the Democratic Party in such high esteem.

I like Jack. I respect what he does and how he thinks.
But this is just outta line.
If my kid of mine said this, they'd get a serious time out.

I follow a pretty simple rule about things like this.
Never EVER say anything you wouldn't want the entire world to read.
Never EVER say anything you wouldn't feel comfortable saying to your mother!

What if 30 years from now you're famous, and some ass hole brings up a few of your past quotes?

Jack. Find a better way to express yourself.

Has nothing to do with like or dislike. Just wondered why he jumped in the ditch like that. I went and read Jubals postings and I like what he writes. He is articulate, poses excellent questions, and hasnt resorted to anything I would consider out of line. Seems he ask's many questions as I have trying to find the thought pulse of the majority here as well as refusing to accept anything at face value. Looks to me like the kind of person the board would want.

Just an observation but the very things that many accuse the "small brain pan", narrow between the eyes crowd of....just happened .
( I went to the mirror, looked with a discriminating eye at myself. Yep, beady eyes, small brain pan, hydrosyphallic cranium, tiny brain pan, slight twitch in the left eye....FUCK....busted!)

That was completely uncalled for. If you can't stand up for your opinion with facts, don't post your opinion. Anyone who resorts to personal insults has immediately lost the debate, and mucho credibility.

Well tough shit. I'm not going to be attacked by this person, twice, and then politely ask them why. If they want to pick a fight with me, then i am not going to cower in the corner. Everyone here wants to side with this person then fine, fuck all of you, i have other places that i can go.

But before you go, take note, I have no axe to grind with you. I was just a casual reader of this thread. Bear in mind, I was not taking sides. So, in all honestly, your way out of line with the commonly accepted conduct of this board. In fact, you are in multiple, blatant violation of POAC's Terms of Use.

I didn't find one utterance of a profanity in Jubal's postings, mild scarcasim, but that is an accepted tactic here. You on the otherhand:

"Bullshit"
"Idiot"
"Dipshit"
"Suck my balls."
"My balls need servicing."
"Angry little bitch."
"Ball sucking bitch."
"Fuck all of you."

Ah. I see. I was wondering what got your knickers in a twist. Now I know it was when I said "Thanks for sharing."

Son, I wasn't attacking you. I was dismissing your comment (not you) as unworthy of a reply. But your subsequent posts have caused me to change my mind.

Now I'm dismissing you.

God, everytime I see Bush's face I feel absolute revulsion. And this picture is perhaps one of the worst I have seen. Look at those eyes. Look at the emotion described by that facial expression. What do you see? Do you see anger? Disgust? Hate? What else?
