Wasn't there a similar yearn for change back in the 60's? Understood, somewhat different circumstances, but analyze what the people have accomplished and what the state has accomplished since that time
many of us still hold to those new values discovered in the 60's.
You shouldn't discount us that easly.
The problems is that not enough of us accepted it as part of us. Most were simply jumping on a popular band wagon, wearing the clothes, and the hair, listening to the same music, but only there hoping to get laid!
YOU, your generation might have more luck. I sincerely hope that you do. But, it ain't gonna happen unless a few of you become genuine leaders, and have the drive to begin a process that takes lifetimes.
Look, it's gotten us roughly 60 years to get where we are today. It's taken us 60 years to dig the hole this deep. Dontchu think it's gonna take a whole lot of effort and patience to fill that 60 year old hole back in, AND THEN begin building your own mountain of a better future?
I hope you take up this challenge. Quite frankly I have been very dissapointed since the 70's. We went back to driving big cars. We went back to being a consumer driver economy. We went back to the self important self centered that dictated everybody get what ever you can even if it's illegal. Just don't get caught!
Many of the hippies became yuppies, but by no means all of us. Though we don't wear tie died t shirts much anymore, we're still all around you.
