Do you get the feeling that someone is gonna put pressure on Olbermann's bosses to shut him up? They did it with Murrow, and they are even more powerful today. Someone who speaks truth so passionately and so eloquently is a threat to this administration. Why, people might start to wake up if they kept listening to talk like this, and we cannot have that. It might change the way people vote.

Yeah, Olbermann knows what he is talking about.
Cafferty, another CNN employee is on the right track.
Here he warns about falling into a dictatorship:

Ha Arlen (anti-NSA) Spector. Yea, Pppppffffttttt! What ever.

It's good that Jack says some truths, but people like Arlen aren't about protecting our freedom and liberty. Rather his goal is to shield the President from his own lawlessness.

Olbermann was not just taking aim at Rumsfeld. He was aiming the cannon directly at the entire Bush administration, and he scored a direct hit. This administration is not accustomed to journalists like this. So many of the MSM journalists are just talking heads who make absolutely no attempt to connect the dots, either for their viewing public or for themselves. When you get one who does connect the dots and then tells others how to connect the dots, thats a danger and a threat to an administration who has gotten away with so much bullshit so easily.

The question I have is how many of the great American people were actually watching Olbermann's commentary? And if they were watching, how many actually heard his message? And of those who actually watched and understood (not too many there), how many actually agreed with him? Was Olbermann only talking to progressives when he said that because in the end, they were the only ones paying attention to what he said? I hope that is not so.

I have some doubts. His ratings are soaring. And that's all they really care about. The $$$. As long as he attacks the most unpopular figures in the administration he's probably safe. The big networks have pending legislation before the house and senate, so he can't say too much to piss them off, but Rummy seems to be a safe target.

I could be wrong though. The republican party is held on a pretty short leash by the executive. They could probably issue some threats that they'll coerce the senate to nix their favorable legislation.
