Hitler's Christianity

To deny the influence of Christianity on Hitler and its role in World War II, means that you must ignore history and forever bar yourself from understanding the source of German anti-Semitism and how the WWII atrocities occurred.

By using historical evidence of Hitler's and his henchmen's own words, this section aims to show how mixing religion with politics can cause conflicts, not only against religion but against government and its people. This site, in no way, condones Nazism, Neo-Nazism, fascist governments, or anti-Semitism, but instead, warns against them.

Thats pretty deep. From what I had previously read though I was under the impression that Hitler was an Atheist, and the idea that the Lord told him to stand against the Jews goes against everything I know about Christianity. God said for all nations to protect the Jews and the state of Israel, but I guess everything can get lost in translation. I mean, look at how the radical Muslims have twisted the word of Allah.

Well. not that I support Hilter, but can someone point out where it says that all nations protect and support the jews outside of the old testiment?

No where I can think of, what does that have to do with the matter?

All that it takes to be a christian is to have belief in jesus christ as the son of god and accept that. Anything PAST that is irrelevant.

If a christian goes out and poops on the sidewalk, are all christians sidewalk poopers?

The same goes for any ideology. You cant attribute actions to the idea unless it is directly stated in the ideology.

This isnt saying that all Christians are Nazis, we are just saying this is what can happen when you mix politics with religion. The same is happening in the Middle East, and the same will happen here if the Right Wingers are allowed to keep using Religion in their politics.

Green said it in a round about way. The Jews are the ones who said protect he Jews at all cost, Jesus never said protect he Jews. Such a argument in Theology was created during the 50's by evangelicals, like the Rapture.

Although im an atheist, i dont think it is religion that is to blame. Religion is an idea. Ideas dont hurt anyone. Its those who subscribe to them. It is when people let these ideas get in the way of their reasoning/critical thinking do we have atrocities such as the holocaust.

Thats what Im saying, its not religion itself, its the way that the rulers use it to push their ideas and agenda. Just like Bush uses the Christian Agenda to stop Stem Cell Funding so he can keep funding a failed war.

Its just that 9 out of 10 times, when Religion is mixed with government, it turns out bad.
MasterMind
I agree DA. Religion and Government needs to stay away from each other. Far from each other.
nygreenguy
I also agree! woo hoo! Its like were in the 2000 presidental debates!
