New to this forum but an old hand at political debate. I'm big on individual freedoms and come from the Goldwater campaign of 1964. Fiscal conservative from day one with a desire for a limited government. If I do not fit in this forum, please let me know as I hate ugly scenes.

But that doesn't mean that the Conservative view point isn't welcome.

Welcome, Sandy....being the resident Flame magnet, I can speak with some authority when I say....even in it's worst day, it's a pretty fair and reasonable approach to ideas and thinking. Think you will like it. A plethra of information and ideas to digest...it's well balanced and thought provoking.

I am a fiscal conservative who has not voted for a Republican since 1992. I have no interest in a one world order and am pushing to remove every Conservative in the House and Senate. I want my individual choices returned and I mean on every subject. I am on the Board of Directors of N.W. Phoenix right to die with dignity. I am beyond partisan politics but am focused on removing the Social Conservatives in November.

Thank you for your welcome and I will be eager to add to the debate although I tend to lean toward politics. I really don't care what color, race or sexual orientation any one is but when my rights are threatened I am like a rattlesnake waiting to strike.

Hi Sandy, I tend to like true conservatives more than Neo-conservatives. The truth is , I don't trust Neo-conservatives at all (I just get edgy when the discussion is in favor of pre-emptive war ! ) Sounds like you like to talk true conservative philosophy. So far you are a respectable human being , & not deserving of ugly scenes.

I guess I can kick off my shoes and relax. I'm quite accustomed to being called names; troll is just one of many and normally I would figure that when an opponent can't debate, they pull out the "troll" card.

I'm beyond politics and have not had a party that speaks for me since 1989. My arguments have always been for a limited government; basically to keep the government out of the personal lives of all Americans. I've read most of the books about and letters written between the founding fathers where the whole purpose of building a free nation was to control the government not to design it to control the people.

I've made many enemies with this philosophy and although I started off on the internet following many fiscal conservatives on their forums, I could not understand why the GOP wanted desperately to promote a Christian nation. This is not what the GOP stood for before Clinton! Why tear the man apart for being promiscuious when it was simply a sexual addiction? There was a new level of morality based on sex that was coming out of the old Republican Party and nobody would admit it. After reading the PNAC and other one world order plans for America, I can clearly see that the GOP had a hidden agenda of wanting America to represent Christians and the rest of us could stick around or leave the country.

I lived in Lake Havasu City for 2 years and being newly retired, decided to investigate this movement within the GOP. I attended a pro-gun rally and was horrified to realize I was in the middle of a Christian revival group. My doubts about the agenda were proven without a doubt that the GOP was 100% behind making America 100% Christian. I asked some questions about what they were planning to do with Jews, Muslims, Atheists and the foot stamping and banging their hands against their bibles scared the hell out of me. The list of groups to be eliminated was endless. I realized I was back in the days of the Inquisition of Europe and I took advantage of leaving during the intermission. I had a woman follow me out to my car and told me to go quickly and turn off all the lights. I had within 30 minutes made a serious enemy of Americans who wanted our nation to be what it was not meant to be. Within a month I had sold the house and moved closer to Phoenix.

This was 1999 and I decided to see what the GOP in Maricopa country was doing. I knew I could never vote for Bush and had registered in the Libertarian Party. I knew some of the Goldwater people and wondered how they could put up with this plan to redesign the party around the neo conservative plan of global empire building. I asked a question to the group of why change the agenda of a limited government into an inquisition? I was asked if I was a Christian and when I said "Not any more." I was told to leave the party. The focus was social issues and people who sinned were to be found guilty and I could not leave the building fast enough.

I'm no damned sinner but I will not work with any group who wants to divide up Americans into classes of violations against the bible. I know now why and how this has happened as it has been the most dangerous movement against American freedoms that I have seen in my lifetime.

I can either live in a state of depression about losing American freedoms so I can try to explain why America is unique and how important it is to save what freedoms we have left. I don't have the time or inclination to troll or flame any forum but you must realize that at my age, I see little in the future for America unless we can stop throwing out labels at each other and start working on corrections here at home.

Holy Cow, Sandy, you have been through hell and back! Have you considered moving out of Arizona altogether (seriously) or do you have health issues that keep you there (you don't have to answer that).
Maybe you don't have to move out of state , just stay away from "certain" groups, thats all.
What I am trying to say is, Arizona is John McCain territory... be aware, and be very wary of him!

Everyone on this forum is very bright, though sometimes quite opinionated.
Extra ordinary information is either available thanks to TJ (poac) or can be learned by talking to and or enlisting the help of these members.

Most of us agree with many aspects of conservatism. Even though I consider myself a Socialist Democrat. I take that position because it's my view that one of the fundamental reasons we have government is to protect, defenend and assist the people it serves. I want to add to socialist programs like Social Security, medicaid and medicare, with things such as national health care for everyone, national post secondary education for anyone who wants it. I also want my government to protect me by having and enforcing such things as strict environmental laws and work place safety laws. I want my government to be answerable to all of it's people who are it's employeers, and not a select wealthy few.


But other wise, I think we have a lot of common ground here.

Christo-fascism in America today represents a clear and present danger to the constitution.
You might enjoy reading, "The 15% Solution" It can be purchased through the POAC store and the money raised goes to a very worthy cause.

Christo-fascism in America today is some real scary shit. But fortunately they are quite out numbered. What we need is more activity and to continue to help raise the base line of anger through awareness in this country so that starting in November we can rout the Neo-cons, the enablers of this christo-fascist revolution.

Today it seems in America the Cross has become symbol of fascism.

Oh no, sky that is simply not true! Bush is a false prophet , NOT a Christian, but you knew that already . The Swastika represented the Nazis, and the Cross represents TRUE Christianity, not this Straussian gang of thugs. I wish the Straussian PNACers would come up with their own symbol like the Nazis did, so that they would not mis-use and abuse the Cross.

Well, sky, that's Rove's doings , not Jesus Christ's It's not MY cross, as true Christianity thinks of itself as a universal church for all peoples, but I won't go into the theological part any further on Sandy's thread. From what I read, she clearly knows the difference between those who believe in Jesus Christ and those who abuse Jesus (false prophets) for the wrong things. But you're right sky, a lot of good salt of the earth folks are being fooled by the bad guys abuse of the Cross.

These bad guys are clever enuf to NOT come up with an obvious symbol of their own this time, like the Swastika

keep it going, how else can we expect humanity to evolve and progressively learn, improve or grow wiser?

usually we need this as well to keep some element of checks and balances on propaganda media and history revisionism

Thats some pretty sad and scary stuff you had happening to you there. It seems to be becoming more and more the norm. I'm fascinated (and revolted by..) the brainwashing and sheeple-herding going on in the USA at this moment, under the PNAC übermeisters and the guiding hand of the shrub. (1936 or 1984 anyone ?)

I spent a lot of time in the US, and enjoyed myself very much, even though the police and guns were a bit unsettling, and the bible-belt a bit scary, (more than a bit, actually....) but there is such a good heart to the country, and the Constitution, indeed, the "American Dream" still seems worthy of saving.

...and with the Apocalyptic grip on the GOP by the PNAC squeezing out the goodness, it sure needs saving NOW !!
