Hi everyone, I don't know how many of you are from Ohio or the surrounding states, but a familiar pattern is re-emerging, with the exclusion of the Green and Libertarian candidates from the debates in the Governers race. If You could drop either Blackwell,s office or the Dems candidateStricklands office a call or e-mail of dissapproval i would appreciate it.

Forgot to mention Green candidate is Bob Fitrakis, Columbus Lawyer who initiated ballot count in Ohio 2004

We have contacted the Strickland campaign and they will not even pass a message to him about the importance of election integrity issues in the campaign. He needs to either let Bob in the debates or raise these issue himself at his risk. Write to your local papers and make them correct their lies that their are "two" candidates for governor.

Call Stricklands offices today and let them know they should allow an open debate with all candidates. Tell them " Open debates are democratic."

There ought to be a law that says IF a SoS wishes to run for a higher Office, that they can not be in charge of the election process. Also, there ought to be a law that says a SoS can not be a State Party head in charge of political organization of ANY political party while also being in charge of the State elections. It's called in other aspects, "A conflict of interests."

Bob Fitrakis is a brilliant speaker and outside the realm of the cozy and perpetuating political sphere of payoffs and cronysim, he also is fully aware of the voting scams that happened under Blackwell in 2004. He would make a great representative and leader in state government.

OK , I am now seeking the collective wisdom of you all. My wife is a poll worker, and unfortunately a Republican(though more out of family tradition than philosophy). She has recieved 2 tickets to the County's Republican "Picinic. The main attraction will be Ken Blackwell, traitor , democracy criminal etc.... . My wife already sees the gleam in my eye and is hoping to give these away, once she finds where i hid them.

Now my question to all of you would be , if I were to attend, how would I go about "protesting" Blackwell, Diebold, Repugs etc..... silently? Or make a complete ass of my self at some point? Any assistance you could give me would be helpful at this point ----

That decision would depend on what sort of risk you are willing to take, and what sort of consequences would be acceptable to you. For instance, would it bother you a lot to be arrested and spend a day in jail? In which case, nearly anything short of violence is possible. If on the other hand you don't want to have to go through all that, maybe you could accomplish more with a digital video camera? Maybe it would be helpful to be able to walk among them and observe? Maybe pose as a Conservative friendly and ask people questions, on camera?


What you ultimately decide to do though, clearly is absolutely your call.
