Yea, I saw that and was wow'd that the level of articulation by Bush has degraded to a questionable point of psychosis, NO???

I mean he's adiment about the enemy and goes on to explain how they are acting but instead digresses to blending America and the enemy...

This is not the first time he says stupid stuff like that. NO???

It is still absolutely incredible that this man was ever elected.

TWICE!

If "Slippery" Dick didn't look like the Devil, he'd be the one visually in charge. (Actually, maybe it's not just a "look"...gulp !) blink.gif

Seriously, the PNAC and their backers could have had elected Kermit the Frog if they'd decided that that was who was going to be the President. Don't tell me that people still think that their vote counted ? (Twice, too !)

Maybe President Kermit would've done a better job......

I don't doubt that the people voted for Bush, with a little bit of electronic help.
After 9/11, Bush's rating numbers were higher than they had ever been for any president, ever.
Now they are near the lowest, and that says a lot about what has happened in the past 5 years!

Kick the bastards to the curb in November, and don't let them back up!

There is something about a leader that condescends to the people and the press SO much every time he speaks, yet obviously even lacks the basic intelligence or even vocabulary to express the agenda he is bening told to push.

I'm watching a live press conference right now and I'm just amazed at how he speaks to the people like he's the daddy and we're all three years olds that just pooped on the rug.

Maybe I read too much, 2-3 books a week, but its kinda like war college. George Lakoff's book "Whose Freedom?" talks about this very thing. Conservatives want a strong father figure, authoratarian, but folksie enough you could sit down and have a beer with him. Same from the religious perspective. God is a strong father figure dishing out punishment and reward. On the liberal side, it more of a loving God, empathy being the key word. They dislike strong authority figures. Great book.
Bush is giving his followers exactly what they want and expect based on the premise of the book.

Lakoff is brilliant!
His ability to both observe, and then describe the observations are second to none.
