Full Version: My Theory of Politics
OLD American Century / White Rose Society message boards > Political Discussion forums > Politics In General
Jack
I don’t believe there are “liberal” ideas and “conservative” ideas. Nothing actually makes an idea/belief liberal or conservative, other than each political party supports it or does not.

My theory is: No idea is liberal or conservative, just right or wrong. If you don’t worry about believing something is “liberal” or “conservative” then you are more likely to believe what is actually correct. Basically, there is no political spectrum but just a series of correct and incorrect ideas, which each political party vies for in order to strengthen their power.

I think this idea is simple yet not obvious to many.

Jack.

Think of it in terms of Hollywood!

It's all an act, and the better the acting, the more movie popcorn they can sell.
If she's got nice hoots, (or he has a nice ass) well that's gravy!

Well, who determines whats "right" and whats "wrong" Some people just feel abortion is wrong, some people feel its right. How do you determine what is "correct" UNLESS you have a goal to your beliefs? Its very subjective.

You have taken ethics and logic, you should have no problem answering that.

Okay. Let me then prove that socialism is wrong.

Capitalism: Works splendid evereywhere its tryed, but not without strong stable government, law and order.

Communism: Is depending on strong government and a lot of police (law and order?) to maintain itself, but did not work in anny country where it is tried.

Conclution:
Communism is wrong.

Any form of logic, moral and ethic thinking will end up with this conclution. But it might be done more detajled than this short summary offcourse.

Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Republicanism & Democracy can be neither right nor wrong. These are ideologies, encompassing specific principles of political organization. In and of themselves, they are neither right nor wrong, good nor bad.
What comes of them in practice is where judgment is necessary, because it is judgment that allows us to adapt ideology, to use the tool well.
The person who chooses not to use inductive logic to adapt ideology to the world is called either doctrinaire or anti-pragmatic.

I actually felt my IQ drop reading this thread.

Ideologies are not "right" or "wrong." They are simply idologies.

Just a quick response to Specter, I'll type slowly so he understands...Communism has NEVER been tried, anywhere in the World, ever. Yes, various fascist states or personality-cult dictatorships have masqueraded as "Communist", and yes, all have failed, as that is the nature of, er, fascism. To fail. clap.gif

Instead of plastering your bedroom's walls with nasty knee-jerk fascist propaganda posters, how about reading up on some Marx, Engels and Trotsky, I'm sure Rocorporon can give you other ideas, and try the excellent book by Michael Harrington, "Socialism" too. Perhaps this somber brown veil that shrouds your eyes may lift off, exposing you to the light of reason (..and poor interior decorating taste...) Or maybe not. There are still plenty of other ignorant twats on the planet, and some of them even run (!) countries...

Socialism and communism don't have all the answers, but their ideologies have never said that they did, but I think that of all the current political systems, they are so far and away preferable to fascism, which belongs in that dark, brutal and hideous corner of Human history which, hopefully, will NOT be re-visited ever again, despite the best efforts of the PNAC.

Hey,in theory, the trains CAN run on time in a "Communist" society too...... cool.gif

Great post Rousseau.

Specter, go here:

http://www.marxists.org/

You'll find nearly every piece of Marxist literature ever written, from Marx to modern 20th century Communists.

Get educated then flap your gums.

Honestly? I don't think Spec is looking for education, or the truth.

But that's just my opinion. He can always prove me wrong. I just don't think he will.

Here's what I read.

"14 points of Fascism" The link to this info is right on this sight. Pretty much shows that we are no longer a democracy or a republic.

"The Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto" WWW.geocities.com/Heartland/7006/com-man.html?200619 Karl Marx wrote this up as a determination of whether or not a country is communist. We pass his test all ten times!

We need to make a change right now.!!
