I did a little research to figure the election outcome based on the latest polls.

For the house, I just looked at those races considered toss ups, and found that Democrats were ahead in the polls in 14 out of those 17 races.
For the Senate, I looked at the races leaning one way or the other and found that Democrats are leading in all races considered to be leaning Democratic, and the Republican was leading in the one race considered to be leaning Republican.
I also looked at the four races considered toss ups.
Democrats currently have a big lead in New Jersey.
Senator Macaca is now trailing in Virginia, as his ridiculous attacks on Jim Webb's novels are making him look foolish.
Republican attacks against a terminally ill Parkinson's disease patient have backfired and helped Democrat Claire McCaskill to a slight lead.
The only bright spot for the GOP in the Senate is in Tennessee, where the sickening racist RNC ad has had its desired effect of scaring the rednecks into believing the black man is coming to take away their white women.
Based on these polls, and throwing out the wild card of inevitable mischief by various Republican Secretaries of State and the Republican owned electronic voting machine corporations, the outcome of the election should look like this:
House of Representitives
Democrats- 229
Republicans- 206
Senate
Democrats- 51
Republicans- 49
