Maybe it's just me , and I'm no linguist , but after Bush insulted the entire Muslim world citizenry of men, women, children(and those who harbor them) with his "Islamo-fascist" slur in his speech yesterday, couldn't his 'speech-writer' have done better?

The term "Islomo-fascists" is a linguistic mongrel, and is meant to wed the concepts of Islam with fascism of the WWII variety, thus making war against "them" a "good" and legitimate war (of aggression). Add to it references to the "Axis of Evil," using the imagery of the WWII Axis of Germany, Italy and Japan to magnify the perceived threat of Armageddon. It is a cheap trick, and fools much of the American public. And it really does bespeak a crusade, a religious war. It is the truest statement of intention, in that regard, to come out of the bush white house. We have now openly declared war against Islam.

I tend to think that the Bush speech writers are as stoopid as the shrub, as most of the intelligent ones have surely gone to work for Chavez or the French, as I don't recall hearing anything intelligent spill out of the pResidential puppets mouth for quite some time.

Its a real shame that he's the most powerful man on the planet, because he would be really funny on "Saturday Night Live".....

As pResiduhnt of the USA though, the World stopped laughing when the bombs started dropping.

I don't have the link handy, but the article I read that quoted him on these statements, said "Mr Bush hand wrote this himself on plain white paper, and took no questions after the statement was read."
